Event Overview
The tournament was hosted on Faceit and due to some time delays was shifted to follow an unforgiving and unconventional Best-Of-1 single-elimination format. With random seeding and team levels ranging all the way from 3 up to 10, it wasn’t long before the stronger squads advanced in dominant fashion with two of the first-round games ending in blowout 13 – 1 scores.
In the semi-finals, the lower-ranked Valid Unit would put up a valiant effort against the juggernaut level 10 team_CrePoW, succumbing to a respectable 13 – 7 loss. The same unfortunately cannot be said for Pozjarniki who were quickly swept aside by Eversio with another 13 – 1 victory for the boys in blue.
The finals would make for an interesting matchup as some members from team_CrePoW had previously played for Eversio’s Counter-Strike roster back during Global Offensive. After a vote between captains to play the final in a Best-Of-1 format, CrePoW led his team to a well-deserved victory, besting Eversio 13 – 6.
