Ranking System
Last season, there were a staggering 75 different participants, showcasing the strength of the Tekken community in Malta. However, from those 75 participants, only 16 could qualify for the main event. Participants qualify for the main event by gaining the most points in the preliminary rounds on Fridays. Therefore the more weekly games a player attends, the higher the chance they have to qualify for the main event.
Games will be held at Level Academy, San Gorg Preca College Hamrun Secondary School (Map Link). There is a €5 entry fee per event.
The breakdown of points per placement and the process for resolving tie-breakers are as following:
Format
The Friday games will feature a Swiss Format, scaling the number of games played based on the number of participants.
- 9 – 16 players = 4 matches
- 17 – 32 players = 5 matches
- 32 – 64 players = 6 matches
Additional tiebreakers are in place for the Swiss Format and are as follows, listed in order of priority:
- Set Wins & Loses
- Game Win Percentage
- Head-to-Head
- Head-to-Head Playoff
First round results
The season is already in full swing, with the first round of matches already taking place last week.
The final standings on the first day were as follows:
- 1st – Addicttekken (Project Eversio)
