Event Overview
The third season of the Tekken City Casuals in Malta (and the first one for 2025) once again delivered for the community, offering two months of action-packed matches and events! With 70 participants registered, players battled it out over the course of nine weeks to qualify for the main event on 9th March.

While there were many changes to the overall standings, the finals were once again dominated by Project Eversio’s Lyonidas and Euphoria Gaming’s AbsoluteZero, with neither player dropping a set until they met each other in the winners final. In an almost identical fashion to Season 2, AbsoluteZero struck first blood, sending Lyonidas down to the lower bracket. Here, Lyonidas would quickly regain his footing, winning the Lower Brack Final and securing a Grand Final rematch.
Unfortunately for Lyonidas, his luck would not change as another flawless final in back-to-back seasons would see AbsoluteZero take home the win in a dominant 3 – 0 fashion.

The win not only means the AbsoluteZero gets his name engraved on the championship belt, but also an invite to the GOAT Series taking place at the end of the year.

Conclusion
The season was once again a huge success for the Tekken community! With a great turnout and a thriving scene, we can’t wait to see how the rest of the year unfolds.
For local enthusiasts looking to get in on the action, the Charity Tournament 2 at the end of the month could be the perfect opportunity, offering competition in a more laid back setting and supporting a great cause!
