What is Fight Knights?
Fight Knights is a fighting game tournament organiser that has been around since 2023, and headed by several well known personalities in the local community, including Christian “R3KTZU” Camilleri, Lyon “Lyonidas” Buhagiar and Miguel “Kaneo” Scicluna.
They’ve organised several offline events for Tekken, Street Fighter and Guilty Gear Strive over the years, including the first Tekken 8 competition in Malta, which attracted 42 participants in February 2024, and lately, they’ve been organising the Fight Knights Trials – a series of online King-of-the-Hill style events featuring Malta’s top Tekken players.
What is Road to EVO?
Fight Knights have now announced a competition series that takes everything to the next level with an impressive prize…an EVO France Package. This means that the winner will receive a fully paid flight, accommodation, and entry pass to EVO France 2025.
EVO is the world’s most renowned and prestigious fighting event. Whilst traditionally it’s held in Las Vegas and Tokyo, this is the first year an EVO event will take place in Europe, specifically in Nice, France in October.
How to participate?
Fight Knight’s Road to EVO will take the form of three qualifier tournaments that lead into a Finals event. The top 8 players from the three qualifier tournaments will earn points, and the players with the most points will be invited to participate in the Finals event.
- Road to EVO #1 – 30th May 2025
- Road to EVO #2 – 6th June 2025
- Road to EVO #3 – 13th June 2025
- Road to EVO Finals – 12th July 2025
The event is being organised with the support of City of Fighters and Level Academy, meaning that the events will take place at the Level Academy premises within the San Gorg Preca College in Hamrun.
How much does it cost?
- €15 per qualifier OR
- €30 for all three qualifiers
