The Mission
Berserk’s return isn’t just about re-establishing itself as a team but about contributing to Maltese esports as a whole. “The aim is to get many people back into the local esports scene and bring Malta back to its competitive ways,” the team’s founder Nick Cilia has stated. This ambitious goal sets Berserk apart from its previous versions, as it now has a clearer vision and a commitment to long-term success.
Competitive Focus and Expansion Plans
Currently, Counter-Strike remains the core focus of Berserk’s competitive efforts. However, the team has expressed its interest in different titles, with plans to expand to League of Legends and Fortnite in the future. This diversification signals intent to engage a wider range of players and audiences, solidifying Berserk’s presence in the Maltese esports landscape.
A New Direction
One of the key differences between past iterations of Berserk and its current version is its newfound direction.
“Berserk was always a project, the other two reworks weren’t as stable as this will hopefully be, as there was not as much hype to continue working on the Counter-Strike scene. This time, it’s going to be stronger, as there are potential people that would like to help out to make Berserk larger and even a successful org.”

A New Chapter Begins
With a new team and a clear vision, Berserk has already hit the ground running. Just last weekend, the team took part in Esport Plaza’s CS2 LAN, securing a respectable 2nd place finish.

This marks only the beginning of Berserk’s journey as they work towards building a name for themselves once again.
