Esports Plaza announces first CS2 Tournament of the year!

The local Counter-Strike scene has been relatively quiet since the Malta Counter-Strike League (MCL) ceased operations in October 2024. Luckily for fans of the game, the community has been given a chance to revive local interest as Esports Plaza has announced a CS2 tournament. This tournament marks the first CS2 event in Malta since Playcon last year and promises to provide players with a great opportunity to show what they’ve been practicing!

Tournament Details

The tournament is happening on the 2nd of February with the structure adapting based on the number of teams participating. Each team is guaranteed at least two BO1s and a BO3, ensuring plenty of opportunities for gameplay.

Date & Time: Sunday 2nd February at 15:00
Entry Fee: €5 per player (includes a Skill Up energy drink)
Prizes:
- 1st Place: 10 hours of gaming time at EsportsPlaza for each player (€30 value per player)
- 2nd Place: 5 hours of gaming time at EsportsPlaza for each player (€20 value per player)

After joining the Discord, players will need to message the Esports Plaza account with their team details.

Local gamers are encouraged to register for the tournament and breathe new life into Malta’s Counter-Strike scene. We’re glad to see Esports Plaza back and can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future!
