EVERSIO Emerge Victorious at ICTSA Clash CS2 Tournament

ICTSA Clash CS2 – Tournament Overview

A total of 4 teams took part in this event and they were; EVERSIO Mix, Berserk, SND2 & Alligent. The tournament format followed a double-elimination bracket with every match being a best of 1, having the grand final as the only match with a best of 3 format. Here’s a brief rundown of how the bracket progressed:

EVERSIO Emerge Victorious – How did they do it?

As can be seen in the bracket above, EVERSIO took on Alligent in their first round, winning 13-0 on Ancient. They then progressed to the second round against local rivals Berserk. The map veto resulted in Nuke as the map to be played and after a grueling 24 rounds, EVERSIO came on top with a 13-11 win. This win got them a first class ticket into the Grand Finals and could rest throughout the week of the qualifiers.

Eventually Berserk managed to power through the lower bracket and soared into a rematch against EVERSIO in the final. The final was played at the University of Malta ICT Faculty as part of the ICTSA Clash event. The players were isolated in a secluded room so that there would be very minimal noise pollution, allowing both teams to fully focus on the game at hand. 

The Grand Final

First map was Inferno, picked by Berserk, in which EVERSIO chose to start on CT. Berserk started off strong, winning the pistol round and having a 3-round lead, however EVERSIO immediately bounced back and won the half 8-4. Berserk then won the second pistol round and won another round, before EVE started racking up rounds on the T-side. From then on, EVERSIO were able to take control of the game and win the map 13-7.

Next map to be played was Ancient, a heavy favourite for the core of Project EVERSIO, and Berserk opted to start on the CT-side. For the first round, EVE’s plan was to fake a B-site execute and have 4 members crawling into A main leading into a very winnable round. However the weaponry on Berserk’s side with the dualies proved a heavy challenge for the T-side and a quick defuse got them their first round win. Fair to say that the majority of the rounds in the first-half were quite close and could have gone either way, but all things were tied at the half-way mark. Unfortunately for Berserk, things did not go to plan after the side-switch as EVERSIO completely swept them on the CT-side, winning the game 13-6.

We caught on with one of EVERSIO’s players, after lifting the trophy. Here’s what he had to say:

Feels great to finally win an event with EVERSIO in 2025. Thankful to ICTSA for putting their trust in the CS community this year and hope that it continues for their upcoming events. That being said, Berserk’s determination in the past few weeks has been quite impressive, and I really hope they stick together, as we desperately need some form of commitment in our unstable scene.

ICTSA Clash CS2 was a very successful event in many ways.
