What is the Kazin Discord?
The Kazin discord project started off all the way back in 2018, when it was just a regular ‘Maltafied’ (Roles and channels were in Maltese) discord for a small friend group. Back then only a small number of 30 or less members were actively involved in the server. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when local streamer CaptainGecoo hosted a live Q&A session with the representatives of MGN, when at the end of the stream it was suggested to have one main discord for all gamers in Malta to be united in one server. Essentially, the Kazin discord is to be a main source for anything related to gaming in Malta. From group activities to community building events, everyone is open to host anything they want as long as they have the benefit of the community as their main priority.
What’s the goal?
Our main goal is to unite all the gaming scenes in Malta to have one big and active community. To revive those games and idle communities which have been left in the dark for quite some time now. Apart from that, we aim to foster a hub for all new and old gamers to interact with each other and have a strong network of Maltese gamers.

What does the Discord consist of?
As per any other regular discord server, there are the usual main chats, as well as specific channels for certain things like: polls, memes, and local news. The discord is also set-up in a way that whenever a community member would like to host an event, the admins of the discord are able to give specific moderator roles to this individual, for ease of access for all members that desire to be involved.
Upon joining the discord, you will be faced with a prompt which asks you what your main game interests are, to give you direct access to channels which are of interest to you. You are able to change this anytime by going on the discord, and on the top left of the sidebar (where all the channels are) you can click on the ‘Channels & Roles’ button.
How do I join the Il-Kazin Discord?

Make sure to read the rules, then select your main game interests and start interacting with other members of the community! If there’s something you require to be added, feel free to leave a suggestion in the #feedback channel.
Conclusion
The Kazin discord is a great initiative to push the local scene and foster new connections between players that want to be a part of a gaming community. Due to Malta’s low population and lack of education on gaming it’s natural that our scene is not as big as others around the world. The members of Kazin recognize that in recent years it has become quite a challenge for a scene to emerge and stay active in the community. Kazin’s aim is to create a healthy and active hub for all the Maltese gamers out there, willing to be part of something that will certainly have an upward spike in the gaming scene in Malta.
