Project Eversio’s Tekken Team narrowly misses out on back-to-back event victories as Euphoria Gaming reemerges

Earlier this month FightKnights organised another Tekken 8 Dojo event, which was immediately followed up by Season 2 of the Tekken City Malta Casuals. Keep reading to learn how the events unfolded as well as the final classification of the Tekken National Circuit for 2024!

FightKnights Tekken Dojo

As mentioned in one of our previous articles, Dojo events are special as the participants’ placements contribute to the global Tekken World Tour points system. These points are crucial for qualifying for international Tekken World Tour events.

The event was dominated by Project Eversio and Euphoria Gaming, with players from both organisations taking the top five spots. However, standing out amongst them all was Eversio’s Lyonidas, who didn’t drop a single set until the winners’ final. In the winner’s final Lyonidas would best Euphoria Gaming’s Bahhar sending him down to the lower bracket. A close Losers’ Final between Bahhar and Project Eversio’s Kaneo would end 3 – 2 in Bahhar’s favour setting up a rematch with Lyonidas for the grand final. Unfortunately for Bahhar, history would repeat itself and Lyonidas would secure first place with a comfortable 3 – 1 score.

The final standings for the event:

  • 1st – Lyonidas (Project Eversio)
  • 2nd – Bahhar (Euphoria Gaming)
  • 3rd – Kaneo (Project Eversio)
  • 4th – Riyukan (Euphoria Gaming)
  • 5th – Addicttekken (Project Eversio)

Tekken City Malta Casuals S2 Finals

Season 2 of the Tekken City Casuals in Malta began with a staggering seventy-four participants. Across three months the participants battled it out until the top sixteen remained. The finals were once again dominated by Project Eversio and Euphoria Gaming but Lyonidas would meet his match in AbsoluteZero. Both players eased through the upper bracket before meeting in the Winners’ Final where AbsoluteZero would strike first sending Lyonidas down to the lower bracket. Lyonidas would bounce back quickly winning both the Lower Brack Final and the ensuing rematch against AbsoluteZero. This would set up a Grand Final Reset to decide the overall event winner.

  • 2nd – Lyonidas (Project Eversio)
