The 2025 season of the 4 Nations ecosystem is set to be a transformative year, with a slew of changes designed to align more closely with the broader European Regional League (ERL) and Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) formats. Among the most exciting developments is Project EVERSIO’s promotion to Division 1 after acquiring Verdant’s spot. This advancement is a significant milestone for the team and Maltese esports, highlighting the region’s growing influence in the competitive scene.

What’s changed with the new format?

The 4 Nations ecosystem will now feature three splits per year: Winter, Spring, and Summer, each comprising a League Stage, Playoff Stage, and Promotion Stage. The League Stage will have a single round-robin format with 10 teams, while the Playoff Stage will adopt a double-elimination structure, culminating in a best-of-five Grand Final. Division 2 will also grow to include 10 teams, reflecting the increasing pool of talent and participation within the league.

One of the most innovative additions this season is the introduction of Side Select Duels. These 1v1 matches will determine side selection for League Stage games, adding an exciting new layer of strategy to the competition. Additionally, the league will embrace the Fearless Draft format for Grand Finals and allow both co-streaming and Player POV streaming to enhance community engagement and viewership.

Project EVERSIO’s Journey in UKEL Division 2

The team started the UKEL Division 2 league with a few rough patches, despite this they managed to fix their form and ended the group stage in third place! They concluded the group stage with a 9W-3L scoreline which meant that they qualified for playoffs.

Unfortunately their playoffs run was cut short as they lost against RizeGaming claiming fourth place in their first ever attempt at international LoL competition!

Project EVERSIO Secures UKEL Division 1 Spot – What does this mean?

Project EVERSIO’s escalation to Division 1 marks a significant achievement in their journey as a team and as representatives of Maltese esports. By securing Verdant’s spot, Project EVERSIO not only gains access to tougher competition but also positions themselves as one of the top teams in the 4 Nations league.

Competing in Division 1 will provide Project EVERSIO with greater exposure, attracting attention from sponsors and fans alike through the UKEL. This exposure is crucial for the growth of the team and the Maltese esports scene, as it puts them on the map in a highly competitive environment. Moreover, it gives their players the chance to test their skills against some of the best in the region, further refining their tactics and team synergy.

For the Maltese esports community, Project EVERSIO’s success serves as an inspiration, demonstrating that local talent can thrive on an international stage. It encourages other teams and players to strive for excellence and reinforces the potential for Malta to become a hub for esports talent.

With this, Project EVERSIO is set to make waves in the upcoming 2025 season, bringing fresh energy and fierce competition to Division 1. Their journey will be closely watched by fans and competitors, eager to see how they will impact their newly joined league.
