How did eMpted win?
They first kicked off the event by placing 1st in Pool P. Winning matches versus teams like .3G, Koo’s Tribe, and RafiGradJCHaqwqeh got them to a 3-0 scoreline, securing their spot in the playoffs.
Their first matchup in the playoffs bracket was against Paragon, a team they managed to beat with a clean 3-0 scoreline. Then, in the 2nd round of playoffs, came MV3 United which again, was no obstacle for eMpted as they won the series with another 3-0 sweep.
EEG European Cup 2020 Quarterfinals
In the Quarterfinals, eMpted were matched against Obtained Esports. This time round, they were up against a much tougher competition as they were facing a Belgian team with loads of experience. In fact, this was shown in the end result, as eMpted took the win with a 3-2 scoreline to move on in the bracket.
EEG European Cup 2020 Semifinals
Onto the EEG European Cup 2020 Semifinals, and eMpted faced off team Aztech. Aztech was expected to be an even tougher opponent when compared to Obtained Esports, but with eMpted’s strategy, they were just unbeatable. EMpted won the series 3-1 and progressed through the Grand Finals versus Rams.
EEG European Cup 2020 Grand Finals
Rams had a tough bracket to get to the Grand Finals, but they eventually made it through and were ready to destroy eMted’s chances of winning it all. EMpted kicked off the series with a win on both Checkmate and Moscow to reach match point. Rams replied with 2 wins of their own on Checkmate and Crossroads to tie the series and leave the title all on who will win Garrison. After a tiring and gruelling series, eMted came out on top to win the 2020 EEG European Cup! GGWP.
