The ESL Pro League is one of the longest-running, and most prestigious global esports leagues in the world, and certainly in CS:GO. Apart from the $750,000 prize pool, precious points are awarded which lead to qualification into Championship events, with millions in prize money.
Following the announcement of an extension to the partnership last year, GamingMalta is now entering into its fourth season as one of the main sponsors of the ESL Pro League, which is being held online due to the pandemic.
ESL Pro League Season 14 will see the best twenty-four teams in CS:GO fight it out across a month-long competition, with twelve partner teams, including the likes of Astralis and Natus Vincere, whilst another twelve teams are derived from the world ranking, and from the ESEA Premier Leagues in Europe, North America and Australia.
Whilst the event could not physically happen in Malta due to restrictions relating to the pandemic, last season the Australian champions, Renegades, competed at the event from Bootcamp facilities in Malta.
