This announcement comes as a pleasant surprise for all those in the local League of Legends scene which have been eager to compete again after a successful spell of the LCM.

Esports Plaza LoL Tournament – What do we know about it?

This will be the second ‘big’ tournament under Esports Plaza’s new management. The first one hosted was for Counter-Strike 2 on the 2nd of February, amassing 4 teams. This time around, they’re switching their focus onto popular MOBA game League of Legends. Through the hard-work of LCM staff, we’ve come to know that there are quite a few active players and teams interested in competing, which should result in high participation numbers all round! Continue reading as we take a deeper dive at the Esports Plaza LoL tournament.

Tournament Details:

The tournament is scheduled to play out on a single day, the 2nd of March commencing at 11AM. The format will follow a double elimination bracket, allowing competitors to have a second chance to fight their way back through the lower bracket, ensuring non-stop action throughout the event. Entry fee for participants will come at a flat €5 fee and with that fee, Esports Plaza will be including a SkillUp energy drink for each player. Here’s a quick summary:

  • Date: March 2nd, 2025
  • Format: Double Elimination
  • Entry fee: €5 per player
  • Start Time: 11:00 AM
  • Bonus: Each participant will receive one free SkillUp from Esports Plaza

Prizes

When it comes to prize pools, Esports Plaza will be offering the top three teams game time hours, which they can spend at any time between opening hours. This is how the prizes are split:

  • 🥇 1st Place: 10 hours of game time per player
  • 🥈 2nd Place: 5 hours of game time per player
  • 🥉 3rd Place: 2 hours of game time per player

While it’s not the most ideal prize, it’s important to note that Esports Plaza are putting value in prioritizing an active and competitive community, rather than simply focusing on the prize pool accumulated through the team entry fees.

How to register?

Players interested in competing can register by joining the Esports Plaza Discord server or by sending a direct message to the organizers.
