Local Esports Organisation Xotic Rebrand To Elite Gaming

Why did Xotic rebrand to Elite Gaming?

The main reason for the rebrand was due to the negative reputation it had as “Xotic”. Esports Malta has reached out to HxPr, Elite Gaming’s owner, and he expressed that the attitude of the old staff and members almost led into the team’s shutdown. However, with their results in FIFA, the team managed to bounce back and they’re setting foot in 2021 with a new mentality and a new appearance, as Elite Gaming.

Who is Elite Gaming?

The team was created last year, and kicked off with teams in both FIFA and Fortnite. At the moment, Elite Gaming is involved in Fortnite, FIFA, Rocket League, as well as Call of Duty. With this rebranding, Elite Gaming have also revealed their staff and members for 2021. Here is their video below:

Here are some of the team’s best achievements before the rebrand:

• 3rd in BOV ePremier League 2019/20 – RyanLegend15
• 7th in BOV ePremier League 2019/20 – IsaacKyleGrima
• 2nd at the Level Academy COD Summer Series – Migi1104
• 1st at in Summer Series: Fortnite Trios Day 2 – Km, Wolf, Mifsudd

Now in 2021, the team has already had its FIFA players KurstenFIFA & Owen Galea qualify to the main event of the BOV ePremier League. Certainly a great to their first competition after their rebrand.

Elite Gaming is quite fresh to the esports scene here in Malta. Despite being mostly tied with Fortnite and FIFA, Elite Gaming is now expanding into other esports titles, making themselves familiar with other talented players and teams. Xotic going into a rebrand to Elite Gaming means that the team will have new goals set in motion and will definitely be a force to be reckoned with in the near future.
