The GamingMalta SummerSlam Warzone Trios Hosted By SandMax24

On the 16th of July local content creator Max ‘SandMax24’ Vassallo announced that he’ll be partnering up with GamingMalta and LevelAcademy to host yet another Warzone tournament. This time with a new format!

The format

SandMax decided to take it up a notch and bring a new format to the Maltese Warzone tournament scene. The tournament will be split into two phases, qualification and the final.

Qualification

The qualification round will be three normal battle royale custom trios games on the full Verdansk map, and the top 8 teams who perform the best and manage to secure the most points will move on to the final phase.

The final

The final will only consist of the top 8 teams, and this part of the tournament will be a first to two wins on the Verdansk mini royale mode.

How the points system will work

For the qualifying stage, the points will be as such:

  • 1 point for each kill (Gulag kills included)

Placement:

  • Winner: x2 kill multiplier
  • 2nd – 15th: x1.5 kill multiplier
  • From 15th place onwards, there won’t be a kill multiplier

For the finals stage, there will be no kill multipliers, but in order for a team to register a win, they will need to have a combined kill count of 4 or more. If this is not the case, the last team standing will not be given a win. I think what they’re saying here is: NO CAMPING.

What you need to know before registering

When registering make sure that only the captain of the team will be filling out the form on behalf of the whole team. Make sure to be in SandMax24’s discord server for all updates before, during and after the tournament. It is very important to read the rules so that you’ll know all the dos and don’ts!

Where to watch

On Saturday the 21st of August at 7:30 pm the stream will commence and at 8:00 pm the games shall start. SandMax24 will be broadcasting it over on his twitch channel. As per usual we advise you to be available till 12am just in case any delays or problems will take place.

Who’s as excited as we are to see how everything unfolds?
