Esports Malta has reached out to the owner of Valid Unit, Jaden Cauchi, and this is what he had to say about their new venture:
First off, we’re starting with Fortnite, as it is currently one of the most popular esport titles in Malta. The academy is basically an opportunity for every single Fortnite player to take their skills to the next level, and take Fortnite on a more competitive level. A place where up and coming talents can grow and learn from more experienced players under Valid Unit.

Jaden also added that if some of the players from the Valid Fortnite Academy are showing promising results, they will also be given an opportunity to play for the main team, of course depending on their placements in local tournaments and events.

Valid Unit have established themselves as one of the most successful Fortnite teams in Malta. In fact, they have recently come out as winners at the Level Academy Fortnite Xmas Special event as well as the Level Academy Duos Dual Cup.
This is definitely an interesting initiative, especially from a Maltese organization. Hopefully, with this project’s success, Valid Unit will expand onto other esports titles where they can continue to develop new talent.
