Round 1 – Turbuleense
Their match in the Semifinals was against TUNDRA Esports, one of their main rivals during the qualifiers. First up was Turbuleense vs FunkBraza on the PlayStation side of the series. Turbuleense’s performance up till this point was on par with some of the best in the world, but unfortunately, he didn’t manage to translate that into the Semifinals game. FunkBraza won the match 2-1, and TUNDRA Esports were at match point in the series.
Round 2 – Sanchez
After that game, Project Eversio’s Sanchez was up next on the field. In the 2nd match of the series Sanchez took on Klenoff, TUNDRA’s XBOX player. The match kicked off with a 1 goal lead for TUNDRA, but Sanchez answered back a few moments later with a goal of his own. After half time, both players were struggling to get a clean shot off, but somehow Klenoff’s tactic outplayed Sanchez’s defence and got him into a 2-1 lead. Sanchez tried his utmost to get into extra time with another goal, but he wasn’t managing to do so. This eventually led into Project Eversio losing the series, and getting eliminated from the tournament.
Unfortunately we are out of the FIFAe Club World Cup, lost 2-1 to FunkBraza_FIFA. I started very slow then improved my gameplay and felt like I deserved more from that match. But it happens GGs to TundraEsports and goodluck in the final.
Turbuleense, Professional Maltese FIFA player.
He then added on to say thanks to Project Eversio for giving him the opportunity to represent them at the tournament. He also gave another thanks to his partner and teammate, Sanchez.
Project Eversio eliminated from FIFAe Club World Cup
Project Eversio being eliminated from the FIFAe Club World Cup isn’t a huge disappointment if you look at what they achieved. They have still made history by qualifying for the Playoffs, and finishing in the top 56. The blues certainly didn’t have the easiest journey at the FIFAe Club World Cup, but we’re certain that from this loss they will learn, improve, and do better next time around.
