How did iPing come out on top?
iPing kicked off the 3rd qualifier with a swift 8-3 scoreline victory versus icurmi in the 2nd round. After this win, he was matched against KieranMalta in the 3rd round. This match was a bit closer than the first match iPing had, as the game finished with a 5-2 score in favour of iPing. For his final qualifier round, iPing had to play versus Matthias_Vlt2003. The match was far closer than ever before, as the scoreline ended 2-1 for iPing. This win secured his spot as part of the top 8 at the event, therefore progressing him to the offline event.
Things were about to get tougher for iPing as he was up against Vella999 in the Quarterfinals of the BOV ePremier League S2 Qualifiers. Despite the difficult match, iPing managed to close out the game 3-2 in his favour. Next up was the semifinals, and dylen10xx was iPing’s next opponent. Dylan was supposedly going to be a tougher opponent, but iPing just made it look very easy, winning the match 3-1.
Lastly, iPing had xKarl__X as his last obstacle for the Grand Finals of the qualifiers. Karl had a tough bracket to climb through as he had to beat players like kcauchi, MIGU3L, DuaneMercieca, as well as Zappy to reach where he was in the finals. The Grand Finals match was going to be a very close one, but everyone knew that iPing had the advantage due to his confidence boost from his previous matches. And that is exactly what happened… iPing won the Grand Finals of the BOV ePremier League S2 Qualifiers 2-1 and was crowned champion.
The next stage for the Malta BOV ePremiere League is the offline event, which is set to take place in March of 2021. Will iPing have what it takes to keep his performance up to par with the rest of the teams and players?
