CS:GO Malta National League Season 3 Announced

Eden Esports Malta National League Season 3

The 3rd season of the Malta National League has been announced and it’s set to take off somewhere in Mid-March. Here’s all the details you need to know about the Malta National League Season 3!

Malta National League Season 3 announced – Schedule

In the announcement post on the official CS:GO Malta Facebook page, it is said that the Malta National League Season 3 will take place in the middle of March. This announcement gives enough time for all interested in participating to practice and prefer for the event. As it stands, Eden Esports are leaving it all to the participants to pick out their preferred date. That being the weekend of the 19th and 20th of March. This decision was obviously made to further motivate teams into joining up and picking a date of their own, certainly a good gesture.

The teams and format have not been revealed yet, however, we can expect teams like Project Eversio, Ky5 and even SNV Esports to compete at Malta National League Season 3. The prize pool for the event will remain the same as the events before it, being a total of €1500. It will be split as follows:

  • 1st – €1000
  • 2nd – €500

Malta National League Origins

As previously announced by Eden Esports, the Malta National League will go on for 5 consecutive seasons. In the first two, we saw the dominant Project Eversio team reign supreme as they took 1st place. In addition to this, the squad also got a spot at Eden Esports’ EDC (European Development Championship) a Tier 2 event that featured some of the best teams in Europe.

My expectations are always to see the local competitive community grow and fight for the top spot. This time around the timing is more suitable for most participants so I am expecting the number of participating teams to be bigger than the previous MNL. That being said, we are still looking for the spark that triggers the local teams to take their games a step further and give a good shot at international competition.

Expectations and Predictions

Unfortunately, Project Eversio’s stay in these tournaments was short-lived, however, in their second attempt, the team almost advanced onto the next stage. Who knows, maybe the third time’s the charm? But before that, they need to secure a first-place position in the MNL. Will Eversio remain unchallenged or will an upcoming team take them down and pull off an upset? Be sure to find out by keeping yourself updated on our website here at Esports Malta.
