Powerful Piglets win Rocket League Carnival Chaos Cup – How did they do it?

Powerful Piglets started the event in the 2nd round due to the seeding position they got from the previous Level Academy Rocket League tournament. Here they took on Team Tragedy B in a short best of 3, and won 2-0. With this win, they moved on to the 3rd round where they took on the main Team Tragedy roster of Anti and Dupreme. Unfortunately for the Piglets, it didn’t go their way and lost the series 2-1.

Lower Bracket Run

This loss dropped the Piglets duo into the losers bracket versus Kinnie Zest. Powerful Piglets were determined to reach the Grand Finals, so they did all the could and outperformed the Kinnie duo to win 2-0. 

After this victory, PP came up against Valid Unit Clixzyy and Syko in yet again, another best of 3. It was a close fight but eventually, the Piglets won (2-1) and progressed to the lower bracket Final versus Skyline. Skyline were a duo that was very promising at first especially after reaching the semifinals of the upper bracket. Unfortunately, they lost their momentum, leading Powerful Piglets for the 2-0 win.

Grand Finals

With this win, AssaultDonut and Logika were confirmed to play in the finals, and rematch the Tragedy Duo. Due to the format the tournament had, the Powerful Piglets had to pull off two outstanding wins because of the bracket reset. The Finals kicked off with an excellent lead from Powerful Piglets as they were 2-0 up just before the 3rd game. However this is when Team Tragedy got the strength to win one of their own to try and tie the series. This was a short-lived victory, as the Piglets sealed the deal in the 4th round.

The bracket was reset and it was time for the final best of 5 of the entire tournament. This second best of 5 had the exact same results as the one prior to it. PP won the first two, Tragedy won the third, and Powerful Piglets finalized it all with a final victory. This is how it ended:

The Rocket League Carnival Chaos Cup was an excellent tournament. Here we saw the other talents that Malta has to offer when it comes to Supersonic Acrobatic Battle Cars. We can’t wait for the upcoming tournaments to commence, and it will be interesting to see if teams like Powerful Piglets can manage to keep it up!
