Who is Fusion?
15-year-old Karl “Fusion” Spiteri is an up and coming talent when it comes to Fortnite. He’s been competing in Fortnite for about a year now and has already racked up a couple of solid results. In his 1 year of competition, he’s played for Mystic Esports, as well as Valid Unit. Some of his best achievements in Fortnite feature really good local tournament results, as well as double qualification for some FNCS Trios Semifinals.
Here are Fusion’s best achievements at local events:
- 6th in the Level Academy Summer Series – 25th June 2020
- 1st at Level Academy Fortnite Solos – 28th January 2021
- 1st in Level Academy Fortnite Trios – 29th January 2021
Why join Elite Gaming?
Esports Malta reached out to Fusion to know more about his recent roster change. He stated that the main reason for this switch-up was due to him being eager to try something new. As you may know, Elite Gaming kicked off 2021 with a bang, as they first revealed their new look, along with a couple of new recruitments in Fortnite, as well as FIFA.
Fusion parting ways with Valid Unit to move over to Elite Gaming is certainly an interesting roster change. His move over to Elite Gaming will mean that he will probably play with some new teammates in team-based events. Will the gifted Fortnite player manage to adapt his playstyle with his new team? Or will Valid Unit’s fearsome competitors overcome him?
With rumours of some Fortnite events happening real soon, we cannot be more excited to see what awaits for the local esports scene!
