Red Bull Strijders – Online Series 2021

What is the Red Bull Strijders?

This event is mainly taken care of by Red Bull, in collaboration with GMR Entertainment. Tournaments of all sorts are organized and feature some of the best Maltese esports athletes competing against each other for the ultimate prize.

Last year, the Red Bull Strijders wingman event intended to take place in late March. However, due to COVID-19, the event was set back and eventually played out in an online format between the 8th of June, and 15th of July. The event still featured games like Rocket League and Tekken, as well as CS:GO. Every tournament was a success, and we saw Project Eversio come out on top in Rocket League, and RogerMaxis in Tekken 7.

This year, the Red Bull Strijders Online Series in 2021 will feature FIFA 21, Rocket League, and Tekken 7 as its main games. The first stage of the event is the qualifiers which will play out online. After that, we have the the final phase of each tournament, and that is the playoffs. This part of the event will play out in an offline setting on account of GMR’s studio. This is how the prize pool will be distributed:

• FIFA 21 – €700
• Tekken 7 – €250
• Rocket League – €300

Dates & Scheduling

The Red Bull Strijders event kicks off on the 3rd of March with the qualifiers. Shortly after, the offline Finals play out on the 20th and 21st of March. Here is a short list of the schedule:

FIFA 21 – Solos

• 3rd March
  • Qualifier 1 – 7:30pm
• 10th March
  • Qualifier 2 – 7:30pm

Tekken 7 – Solos

• 6th March
  • Qualifier 1 – 2:30pm
• 13th March
  • Qualifier 2 – 2.30pm

Rocket League – Duos

• 4th March
  • Qualifier – 7.30pm
