Team Tragedy Enter Warzone – Who did they sign?
Smonk
If you’ve been in the scene you already know that Smonk is one of Malta’s most talented when it comes to Call of Duty. At just 18 years of age, he’s shaken up the rankings in every single game mode, and is looking to make history with his newest roster. Here are some of his personal best achievements so far:
- 3rd place in TyKy Warzone Solos – 30th January 2021
- 2nd place at the Tyky Warzone Trios – 6th February 2021
- 1st in Level Academy Easter Eggstravaganza – 9th April 2021
Shazmin
13-year-old Shazmin Mallia is nothing short of an FPS prodigy. He’s always landed somewhere in the leaderboards with previous lineups, but has shown that with the right teammates, they can be unbeatable. Now with this new team they have intentions to bring down Project Eversio from their #1 spot.
Desert
Kenny “Desert” Polidano is another familiar face in the Warzone scene. He’s competed in lots of local Warzone tournaments and has won quite a few. Recently he’s won the Tyky Warzone Solos event, and with help of his two new teammates, they’ve won the Easter Eggstravaganza tournament as well. We’ve all come to know Desert’s potential as an individual, but with 2 new core teammates alongside him, we’re sure he’ll be able to continue performing to the best of his abilities!
Here are the team’s thoughts behind the signing:
As a team, our main aims are to improve and grow as a whole. Therefore we started branching out and recruiting players from different games to represent us in local tournaments. Initially, we started off with just two games and in a couple of months we managed to branch out to 4. After seeing Shazmin, Smonk and Desert’s outstanding performances in the recent Level Academy tournament, we decided that it was the time to open the team and recruit these very talented individuals. The Last Man Standing roster proved to everyone that they are some of the best players in Malta. This is why we decided to take the opportunity and add them to our roster. We are very excited to see their performances in the coming tournaments.

It’s interesting to see more local organisations such as Team Tragedy enter the competitive Warzone scene. Hopefully other teams like Valid Unit and Elite Gaming follow in their footsteps, and continue to expand the community.
