Red Bull Strijders FIFA 21 – Who qualified?
In the double-elimination bracket, we saw the former 1st edition BOV ePremier League winner, CSpiteri95, victorious in these qualifiers. He had a flawless throughout the entire bracket, beating top-notch players such as El Punisher, Brandsha, and Turbuleense.
Brandsha followed close by, which ended up finishing in 2nd place after a gruelling 2-0 defeat versus CSpiteri95 in the Grand Finals. Brandsha also had a solid run in the end, but unfortunately, CSpiteri was just better this time around.
Then, we had none other than the fearsome Turbuleense in 3rd place after an excellent run in the upper bracket. Unfortunately, CSpiteri took him down to the losers bracket, and this is where Brandsha got the best of him.
The 4th and final participant to make it out of the qualifiers is Diabol’s Mizu. Mizu had a solid run through the winner’s bracket. Unfortunately, he had a similar fate to Turbuleense as he went into the lower bracket after a loss against Brandsha. In the losers bracket, he had to take on his teammate, IsaacKyleGrima, and after a couple more games, he went up against Brandsha once more. And for a 2nd time in a row, Brandsha outperformed Mizu, and he was left in 4th place.
What now?
The 1st Red Bull Strijders FIFA 21 qualifier is finally concluded and 4 players are confirmed for the main event. Now, we must look into the next stage in the event. The next stage is the 2nd qualifier, taking place on the 10th of March. This will give a lot of opportunities to anyone that was just short of making it in the 1st qualifier. Will players like Owen Galea, Luke Bartolo, or IsaacKyleGrima manage to carry their performance onto the main event?
