Level Academy Trio Warzone Tournament Recap

Level Academy Trio Warzone Tournament Recap

The Level Academy Trio Warzone tournament took place this Friday. Here we saw some of the best COD Warzone players battle it out in an action packed custom lobby, hosted by local Twitch streamer, Spooner. Here is how it all went down:

Final Standings of the Level Academy Trio Warzone tournament (Top 10)

  • 1st – Xclusives – 151 points
  • 2nd – Pain – 100 points
  • 3rd – ICE c-c-c-cold – 96 points
  • 4th – Shooting birds – 84 points
  • 5th – Nasty’s – 79 points
  • 6th – GOODFELLAS – 58 points
  • 7th – Diabol – 57 points
  • 8th – PERITI – 55 points
  • 9th – Maltese Dictators – 52 points
  • 10th – Elites – 39 points

Round 1

In the first match, all seemed good for team Xclusives as they managed to clear out a huge part of Military. They had a great position beside the wall, but this was against their favour as KhalidMarwicos snuck up behind and took them down to confirm 1st place for Shooting birds.

Round 2

Then in the 2nd round team Shooting birds were in prime position to close it down as they had a seamless rotation along the gas. But team Pain’s Mr.Santanero recognized their plan and climbed up on top of a storage room and killed XZiggyHD from the high ground.

Round 3

Round 3 offered an intense final battle between team Pain and Xclusives as they fought on the ridge close to airport. SAF_Marques and Lumi had already been eliminated, and all was left on the shoulders of ShadowIX. He managed to take one down with a MAC-10 and a throwing knife, quickly looked behind and took a 2nd, but unfortunately the final member of Pain took him down from behind a shack. Here’s a peek at his incredible attempt:

Round 4

In the 4th match, team ICE c-c-c-cold had a spectacular result as Wolve managed to clutch up the final clash and win the game with 15 kills. This placing definitely boosted the team’s points and eventually got them into the top 3.

Round 5

In the final round, Xclusives almost ended up getting eliminated after they were getting focus fired from multiple teams. Eventually they managed to buy back their teammate and had a bloody rotation through the centre of Verdansk. After they got into a safer position, they closed down on the remaining players and got 1st placed with a huge number of kills.

Disappointing results

A worthy mention when it comes to disappointing results at the tournament was Diabol. The team only managed to place 7th with 57 points, and had some pretty unlucky matches. Their best result was an 8th place with 12 kills, definitely not what they wanted. Here’s a clip of Zelli0n expressing his frustration:

All in all the Level Academy Trio Warzone tournament was an excellent event and we cannot wait to see more Warzone related events. Stay tuned to www.esportsmalta.mt and subscribe to our newsletter down below to get notified weekly about local esports news!
